Volunteer Opportunities at Title 1 Schools
Oct. 03, 2019
Dorothy Keenan, founder and executive director of GrandInvolve.org, will educate us about Title 1 elementary schools in Fairfax County (serving high percentage of low-income families). The multigenerational prrogram GrandInvolve facilitates opportunities to volunteer as weekly literacy or math mentors to students in grades K - 6th. The program will expanding to elementary schools near us in 2920, including Westlawn Elementary and Beech Tree Elementary plus others in Annandale. |

Thanksgiving Baskets at The Veterans Pantry

We will NOT have a donner meeting at Harvest Moon on this date. We will be organizing and delivering Thanksgiving baskets of food for The Veterans Pantry. Meeting at 6:15pm at: John & Jill Kerr Conway Residence, 1005 N. Capitol St. NE, DC 20002. Limited parking, so carpooling recommended. See Club President Stephanie's email for details.
