Induction/Awards Dinner

 June 30, 2005

The meeting was special dinner at the harvest moon restaurant

ADG Bill Bailey started the meeting with some remarks

President Joe had some remarks

 and presented several awards:

·         Rotarian of the Year – pp John Sweet, for overall project leadership and participation

·         Centennial Award – Doug Dreyer, for coordinating the Pete Petro Centennial Playground

·         Excellence Award – pp Rex Hayes, for developing the web page, computerizing records and club history

·         Outstanding Service Award – pp Ahmed Selim, for club participation and leadership Directing the Rotary Times Broadcasts

·         Distinguished Service Award – ADG Horace McCormack, for leadership of District/Centennial Events and Pete Petro’s Funeral ceremony

·         Humanitarian Awards – Dr. Jim Babcock, for generous support of worldwide assistance projects, and

                                  – Joe Akkara, for leading the club’s Tsunami

                                     relief efforts

·         Service Awards – pp Dick Johnson, for editing Bulletin and key service

                                 in fundraising projects, and

                            -  Mike McCormack, for Hosting Rotary Times Broadcasts,

                                 E-book sales and club participation

·         New Member Award – Charli Lucier, for chairing citrus sale and club

                                        participation

·         Special Recognition Award – Jason Wallace, for centennial publicity, guest

                                     cards  and contest/award certificates

.   Perfect Attendance Awards – pp Ahmed Selim, pp Ron Adams, Joe Scheibeler

Our New President Doug Dryer Inducted his Board and gave his opening remarks, saying "this is not my club it is your club"
